FORT DRUM — During the day Friday there will be higher than normal levels of training noise coming from Range 48 in the vicinity of Antwerp and Fowler, the post announced Tuesday.

The anticipated noise should not be a cause for alarm, the post said.

The post’s Range 48 will be used by the Air Force’s 96th Bomb Squadron from Barksdale, La., for live fire training during the afternoon hours. The training is in preparation for future missions.

The post said anyone with noise concerns during this time should call the New York State Airspace Hotline at 1-800-228-3567.
