LISBON - The Altar Rosary Society of Ss’ Philip and James Church has spent the last several months gathering heirloom recipes From Church and Community members to create a treasured cookbook in honor of the Church’s 140th anniversary.

The cookbook, which is in the form of a 8” by 10” 3 ring binder, is available now and would make a great Christmas present .

Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will fund the Sister Joan Casey Scholarship Fund which is awarded annually to students of Lisbon Central School.

Sister Joan was a familiar and well- loved member of our community until her sudden passing in October 2006.

Copies of the cookbook may be obtained from any member of the Altar Rosary Society, by calling the Parish Center at 393-3796 or on October 4th when the Ladies will also host an Open House at the Fr. William LaVallee Parish Center in Lisbon from 9am to 5pm. Cost of the cookbook is $15.
