Chateaugay remained unbeaten atop the NAC East Division standings with a 6-0 win at home over Madrid-Waddington on Tuesday while Brushton-Moira turned back St. Lawrence Central 2-1.
Chateaugay 6, M-W 0: In Chateaugay, the Lady Bulldogs generated three goals in each half led by Hannah Cook with two goals and two assists. Alicia Cook tallied a goal and assist while Danielle Charland and Haylee Tower struck for the other goals as the Lady Bulldogs improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the division.
Kennedy Boyea and Abby Cowan recorded one save each splitting crease duties in the shutout.
Ariana Ramsdey and Marlaina Bush combined to field 12 shots for the Yellowjackets (1-4, 1-3).
B-M 4, SLC 1: In Brushton, the Lady Larries got off to a promising start when sophomore Jerika Francis broke through for an unassisted goal 10 minutes into the game but the Lady Panthers pulled even by halftime then went on to notch three second-half goals.
Jenna Dufrane tied the game less than four minutes after the opening goal by SLC. Kendra Mills finished off a play set up by Kenzie Traynor 13 minutes into the second half for what would stand as the game-winner. Traynor then put the game out of reach with goals in the 31st and 34th minutes both off assists from Mika Vehara.
Ashley DeBeer made 15 saves backstopping the win as B-M improved to 5-1. Haleigh Agans fielded 15 shots for SLC (1-5, 1-4).
