POTSDAM — Village police charged Kurt A. Whitford, 21, of Keeseville, on Sunday with disorderly conduct, public urination, third-degree criminal tampering and public lewdness.

Police reported that at 1:59 a.m., Mr. Whitford had been at the Hot Tamales restaurant on Market Street, where witnesses said he was standing in line to use the bathroom and decided to start urinating on business equipment inside the business.

He was issued tickets for Village Court.
