MORRISVILLE Lemar Johnson threw three touchdown passes to Anthony Gray in the second half to lead SUNY Morrisville to a 28-23 win over St. Lawrence University in a nonconference football game on Saturday.
The Saints (2-1 overall) held a 10-7 lead at halftime, but Johnson opened the second half by connecting with Gray on touchdown passes on the first two drives, giving the Mustangs a 21-10 lead they would never relinquish.
Johnson finished with 125 yards passing and 126 yards rushing for the Mustangs (1-2). Gray caught six passes for 77 yards and Christian Pena rushed for 163 yards on 27 carries.
SLU was led by quarterback Mike Lefflbine, who completed 23 of 38 passes for 233 yards, including two touchdowns. Colby Johnson caught 10 passes for 101 yards. Mike Tateosian added seven receptions for 13 yards.
Andrew Cox led the Saints defense with 13 tackles and Obi Nwaigue added 12, including a sack.

Andrea Strauss finished with 11 saves to help the Saints (6-0-2) salvage a scoreless tie with SUNY Geneseo in a nonconference game in Canton.
Julia Sanger made five saves for SUNY Geneseo (2-3-2).
ST. JOHN FISHER 2, CLARKSON 0
Alex Rohloff scored a pair of second-half goals to lead St. John Fisher (3-5) past the Golden Knights (3-4) in a nonconference game in Potsdam.

Nicole Welcome scored two goals to spark SUNY Delhi to a Region 3 win over the host Cannoneers.
Destiny Hull scored for JCC (1-4), and Kate Gehrke made 13 saves.
UNION 3, SUNY CANTON 2 (OT)
Dean Constant, who assisted on both goals in regulation, scored the game-winning goal in overtime, leading Union past the Kangaroos in a nonconference contest in Canton.
Constant assisted on goals from Nick Vozzella and Carl Faber in regulation for the Dutchmen (6-0-1). Tyler Gallagher and Nick Escalante scored for the Kangaroos (3-4).
LEBANON VALLEY 1,
ST. LAWRENCE 0
Lyndee Sheaffer scored an unassisted goal in the 41st minute to give Lebanon Valley a win over the Saints (1-5) in a nonconference game in Geneva. Chloe Baro made two saves for Lebanon Valley (3-4).
St. LAWRENCE 3, SUNY POTSDAM 1
Cristina Deschaine and Rebecca Briggs each recorded 12 kills as St. Lawrence rallied from one game down to beat SUNY Potsdam 23-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-15 in Potsdam.
Amanda Brooks and Lexi Brown added 11 and 10 kills, respectively for the Saints (8-4). Jenna Blujus registered 11 kills and 19 assists for Potsdam (6-9).
KANGAROOS TAKE PAIR
SUNY Canton (11-1) extended its win streak to eight matches with a pair of victories at the Castleton (Vt.) State Invitational.
Jessica Reynolds provided eight kills in a 25-8, 25-14, 25-19 sweep of Green Mountain College. Morgan Bills produced 12 kills in a 25-10, 25-10, 25-12 sweep of Castleton State.
JCC loses three
Jefferson CC lost all three of its matches at the Region 3 Tournament in Rochester.
The Cannonerrs fell to Corning CC by 3-0 (25-19, 27-25, 25-1), to host Monroe CC 3-2 (25-22, 17-25, 18-25, 25-16, 15-13) and to Finger Lakes CC 3-0 (25-21, 27-25, 25-19).
For JCC, Kierstin Burke recorded 20 service points, 13 kills and 59 digs. Keysha DeJesus Ortiz had 20 digs and 11 points, while Nicole Wormwood contributed 12 kills and 18 digs.
SUNY CANTON SWEEPS
Both the SUNY Canton mens and womens teams claimed titles at the Johnson (Vt.) State Invitational.
Megan Mydosh finished second overall to lead the Kangaroo women, who finished one point ahead of Paul Smiths (45-46).
Tom Lauzon used a third-place finish to help the men take the title with 39 points, 15 ahead of second-place Paul Smiths and Johnson State.
