Shane R. Cole, 26, of 331 McClelland St., was charged Friday night by city police with leaving the scene of a property-damage accident after his vehicle hit another one at Bronson and High streets.

Police said he turned on to High Street about 11:45 p.m. when the accident happened. He was also cited with failing to stop at a stop sign, having an open alcoholic beverage in his vehicle and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation because he allegedly was driving with a suspended license.

He was released from the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment.
