OGDENSBURG — A Richville woman is being charged in the Sunday crash that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital.

State police arrested Patricia L. Pierce, 28, on Tuesday and charged her with failure to yield the right of way at an intersection, aggravated unlicensed operation and uninspected motor vehicle.

Police responded to the report of the accident about 9:40 p.m. in the town of Oswegatchie. A motorcycle operated by Joseph A. Peets, 30, Ogdensburg, was traveling west on Route 37. As he entered the intersection with Route 68, a vehicle driven by Ms. Pierce made a left turn in front of him onto Route 68, causing Mr. Peets to collide with her car and ejecting him from his motorcycle.

Mr. Peets was taken by ambulance to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, where he is in the intensive care unit with multiple injuries.

Ms. Pierce was issued tickets returnable to Oswegatchie Town Court.
