Motorists charged with driving while intoxicated

The following motorists were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Dominique R. Brown, 24, of 26704 Boyer Circle, Evans Mills, was charged by Watertown police with aggravated DWI at 12:01 a.m. Sunday at 1268 Arsenal St.

Mr. Brown had a blood alcohol content of 0.26 percent, police said. That’s more than three times the state intoxication threshold of 0.08 percent and well over the 0.18 percent BAC required for an aggravated DWI charge.

n Gary L. Lawrence, 32, Fort Drum, was charged by state police at 6:09 p.m. Saturday on Route 3 in the town of Pamelia. He had a BAC of 0.08 percent, police said.

Charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs:

n Emily M. Dawson, 20, Cato, also was charged by state police with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after she was involved in a property damage accident at 3:14 p.m. Saturday on Route 3 near Brennan’s Beach Road in the town of Richland. Police said they found a small container with heroin in her vehicle.

n Christopher C. Steele, 34, of 38 E. Barney St., Gouverneur, was charged by state police Saturday night. Police said he stopped to check his wheel in front of a trooper on County Route 24 in the town of Russell. His BAC was listed as 0.12 percent.
