PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Joshua G. Bresett, 24, of Ogdensburg with petit larceny Thursday afternoon on Ford Street, Ogdensburg, following an investigation into a shoplifting complaint filed with troopers at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 29 from the town of Potsdam. Jordan T. Remi, 22, of Ogdensburg and Jenna-Marie L. Joanette, 19, also of Ogdensburg, had been charged by troopers with sixth-degree conspiracy Wednesday in connection with that same investigation.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - WEST STOCKHOLM - Massena-based state police charged Cassandra M. Graff, 20, of Lancaster, Pa., with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed her for speeding and failure to keep right at 10:38 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on state Route 11B in the town of Stockholm.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - ALTONA - Chazy-based state police charged Ian D. Hendricks, 19, of Massena with unlawful possession of marijuana at 1:50 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on Route 190 in the town of Altona.
FELONY DWI - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Marc A. Beynon, 42, of Fort Covington with a felony count of driving while intoxicated Thursday following an investigation into an all-terrain vehicle accident reported at 4:35 p.m. Aug. 26 from the town of Fort Covington. Troopers said the charge was elevated to a felony since Beynon had two prior driving whole intoxicated convictions within the past 10 years.
He was convicted of driving while intoxicated on April 28, 2009 and January 2011. His last conviction stemmed from a traffic stop on Aug. 5, 2010 in the town of Bombay.
Franklin County Court Judge Robert Main Jr. had sentenced Beynon to one year in the county jail in February 2011 after the Fort Covington man informed the court he preferred jail time to probation supervision.
