POTSDAM — Lightning caused all four college events on Wednesday’s schedule to be postponed.

Three of the events actually began before weather caused the postponement.

SUNY Canton’s women’s soccer team was losing 7-0 in the 53rd minute of a game at Hamilton College when it was stopped. A game must be 70 minutes to be official so the status is not known.

Clarkson’s men’s soccer team was scoreless after 12 minutes against SUNYIT in Potsdam before it too wound up being postponed. St. Lawrence University’s field hockey game at Middlebury was stoppped in the fifth minute and will be replayed at a future date, SLU said. Clarkson said the soccer game will pick up where it left off at a later date.

SUNY Potsdam was supposed to face SUNYIT in a women’s soccer game which was called off before its 7 p.m. start time. SUNY Potsdam said its game would be rescheduled at a later date.
