The state Department of Transportation will close some lanes on Arsenal Street as it mills and paves portions of the road this week.

Work will begin at the intersection of Arsenal and South Massey streets and end near the intersection of Arsenal Street and Coleman Avenue.

Milling operations will begin at 6 p.m. today, with work occurring between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Paving operations are expected to begin at 6 p.m. Monday, working on a similar timetable. Work is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. Sept. 21.

In its press release, DOT asked motorists to drive carefully near work zones.
