Last season was one to forget for the Thousand Islands football team.

Not only did the Vikings go winless at 0-8, they were outscored 310-75 and weren’t very competitive throughout the season.

This season, with Joe Gilfus back at the helm following a year assisting longtime coach Steve Fisher, Thousand Islands figures to be improved. Although in a tough Class C North division, that may not be good enough to pick up many victories.

Gilfus returns some talent in versatile back Austin Bach, running back/linebacker Alex Cooley and receiver/defensive back Trevor Typhair.
