The Advantage After School Program opens today for its 15th year of service for elementary school students.
The program operates from dismissal time until 5:30 p.m. each school day. The fee is $15 per child with negotiable fees for multiple children.
While the program is sponsored by the Ogdensburg City School District, it is independent regarding fees and fundraisers.
The program offers nutritional snacks, recreation, arts and crafts, homework help, and special programs from Claxton-Hepburn Hospitals Education Program, SUNY Canton, Ogdensburg Command Performances, NBT Bank and others.
The program will run through the third week of June. If you registered your child last school year and you are up to date with your payments, your child is automatically enrolled and may begin on the first day of school. If you would like to register your child, please pick up an application in the school office. Applications are available from at the Ogdensburg elementary school offices and must be completed and submitted prior to entrance to the program.
Bussing will be provided for the children who attend Lincoln Elementary School to attend the Kennedy Program.
When picking your child up from the program at Kennedy, please follow the Jersey Avenue one-way to the parking lot at the top of the curve. Turn right into the parking lot and follow the sidewalk to the main entrance. Once inside, turn left and proceed to the second room on the right to sign your child out.
