A Harrisville woman was charged by Watertown city police after she allegedly hit a man on the head with a large bottle of rum early Monday.

Police said Jacquelyn B. Smith, 32, of 8268 Route 3, Harrisville, hit John A. Ives Jr., Watertown, on the left side of the head with a 1.75-liter bottle of Trader Vic’s rum. No injuries were listed in connection to the hit.

Charged at 12:25 a.m. Monday with second-degree attempted assault and fourth-degree possession of a weapon, Ms. Smith was held on $750 bail pending arraignment in City Court.
