OGDENSBURG — Ogdensburg Free Academy’s Rudy Binion scored the game’s only goal to help lift the Blue Devils to a 1-0 victory Saturday night in the championship game of the Gerard Cring Memorial boys soccer tournament.

Binion took a back pass from Nate Peo and bent a 30-yard shot off the front of his foot that nestled just inside the right goal post and just out of the reach of Lisbon keeper Issac Sovie.

OFA outshot Lisbon 17-6 but both teams created scoring chances.

Jacob Sias made six saves for OFA (2-0) for his second shutout of the tournament.

Sovie finished with 16 saves.

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 2, GOUVERNEUR 0

Zeb Brown connected in the 36th minute from Matt Berger for the Flyers’ game-winning goal during the consolation game of the Cring Tournament.

Ian St. Andrews also scored for Norwood-Norfolk (1-1).

All-Tournament selection Garrett Waite made eight saves for Norwood-Norfolk. Gouverneur goalie Seth Carr also made the all-tournament team.

CANTON 2, PLATTSBURGH 0

Josh Huiatt scored both goals for the Bears in the consolation game of the Chazy Tournament. Scott Wight had 14 saves for Canton.

Seton Catholic 6, Salmon River 0

Salmon River fell in the championship game of the Saranac Central tournament against Seton Catholic in Saranac. No details about the winners were available.

GIRLS SOCCER

WATERTOWN 1, CAMDEN 1

Miranda Gilbert scored a first-half goal for the host Cyclones in a nonleague draw with the Blue Devils.

Olivia Miles assisted on Gilbert’s goal for WHS (0-1-1), and Katie Aldrich made 12 saves.

IHC 1, PERU 1

Charissa LaPoint scored in the first half for the Cavaliers, who finished in a draw with the Indians in the Chazy Tournament. Skylar Short made two saves for IHC (0-1-1).

MALONE 2, NORTHEASTERN CLINTON 1

Abgail Collins generated both goals for the Huskies after Katie Sample scored for Northeastern Clinton. Collins tied the game on a penalty kick in the 21st and recorded the game winner on an assist from Gabrielle Collins nine minutes later.

Jamie Lavoie (9 saves) and Megan O’Connor (8 saves) combined in net for Malone (1-1).
