Former St. Lawrence standout Jeff Caister has announced his retirement from professional hockey after three seasons.
Caister, a defenseman, tallied 31 points in 55 regular-season games with the Fife Flyers of the Elite Ice Hockey League in Europe last year.
He spent the previous two seasons in the ECHL, playing for Greenville in 2011-12 and splitting time between South Carolina and Victoria the previous year.
In two ECHL seasons combined, Caister tallied 55 points, including eight in a 12-game postseason run for Victoria.
He played for the Saints from 2008-10 and scored eight goals to go with 19 assists in 79 career games.
