The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:
n Shawn S. Snyder, 40, of 29822 Route 3, Lot 11, Black River, was charged by state police with felony DWI and refusal to submit to a breath screening test at 9:48 p.m. Friday at Stewarts Shop, 28715 Route 3, Black River. Police said a cashier at the store triggered a silent alarm after Mr. Snyder allegedly argued with her over her refusal to sell him beer.
The charge was a felony because of a prior DWI conviction within the past 10 years, police said.
Mr. Snyder was arraigned before Pamelia Town Justice Anthony J. Casselman and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
nFelipe M. Cintron, 40, Doral, Fla. was charged by state police early Saturday after he allegedly failed to keep right on Center Street in Massena. His blood alcohol content was not available.
n Carrie M. Cheers, 27, of 4882 Beech Ridge Road, Carthage, was charged by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies with aggravated DWI, failure to keep right, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and moving from lane unsafely at 3:34 a.m. Sunday on Route 216 in the town of Watertown. She had a BAC of 0.24 percent, deputies said.
A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law, while aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.
n Kyle D. Smith, 22, Middleport, was charged by Potsdam village police with aggravated driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning.
Police said Mr. Smith failed to keep right on Market Street in Potsdam and did not signal a lane change.
Mr. Smiths BAC was listed as 0.19 percent.
n Timothy R. Allen, 27, of 6 Front St., Tupper Lake, was charged by state police with aggravated driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning.
Police said Mr. Allen was stopped for speeding on West Main Street in Gouverneur.
Mr. Allens BAC was listed as 0.19 percent.
n Francisco J. Landin, 35, of 909 Gotham St., Watertown, was also charged by Watertown police with leaving the scene of an accident at 2:53 a.m. Sunday at his residence. He had a BAC of 0.15 percent, police said. Further information about the accident was not available.
n Joshua E. Rivers, 23, of 9400 Langdon Drive, Apt. D, Fort Drum, was also charged by Watertown police with consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and driving with inadequate headlights at 12:03 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Coffeen Street. He had a BAC of 0.14 percent, police said.
n Dallas M. Miller, 18, of 294 Ellisburg St., Sandy Creek, was also charged by Watertown police with speeding and inadequate exhaust at 4:04 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Arsenal Street. He had a BAC of 0.16 percent, police said.
n Amanda L. Shulz, 20, of 9509 County Route 79, Woodville, was also charged by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies with speeding at 3:21 a.m. Sunday on Route 11 in the town of Watertown. Her BAC was 0.13 percent, deputies said.
n Casey L. Hammill, 587 S. Main St., Massena, was charged by state police early Saturday after being stopped on Water Street in Massena for an alleged cellphone violation on Center Street. His BAC was 0.15 percent, police said.
n Nolan D. Jacobs, 30, of 394 Frogtown Road, Hogansburg, was charged by state police early Saturday on International Bridge Road in Massena. His BAC was 0.14 percent, police said.
n Jeffrey M. Crobar, 50, of 50 Annette St., Heuvelton, was charged by state police early Saturday on County Route 10 in the town of Lisbon. Police said he was stopped for failure to keep right, when they observed an open container of alcohol in the center cup holder of the vehicle. His BAC was 0.17 percent, police said.
n Wayne G. Felix, 66, Winthrop, also was charged by state police with a stop-sign violation after a 1:30 p.m. Wednesday accident in the town of Stockholm. Troopers said Mr. Felix ran a stop sign at County Route 47 and Route 11 and hit a sign. His blood alcohol content was listed as 0.12 percent.
n Holly J. Kunzer, 38, Rochester, was charged at 11:53 p.m. Thursday by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies with aggravated DWI on County Route 63 in the town of Watertown. Deputies said she drove into a ditch. She also was cited with using a cellphone while driving and driving over a hazard marker. Her BAC was listed as 0.20 percent.
n Melinda L. Miller, 24, Watson, also was charged by Lewis County sheriffs deputies with failure to keep right and driving an uninspected vehicle at 1:40 a.m. Saturday on Route 12 in the town of Martinsburg. She had a BAC of 0.16 percent, deputies said.
n Christopher J. Mitchell, 41, Brasher, was charged by state police July 27 in the town of Lawrence. Mr. Mitchell was the driver of a motorcycle that struck a deer, troopers said. He was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, for treatment of numerous scrapes and bruises. His BAC was not available, as troopers are waiting for the results of a blood test.
n Mary M. Salonick, 45, of 143 Horton Road, Massena, was charged by Massena village police Aug. 10 on Center Street, where police said she ran a red light. Her BAC was not available.
n Kristan A. Baxter, 21, of 9840B Sandy Creek Road, Fort Drum, was charged by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies about 3:25 a.m. Aug. 10 on Cooke Road in the town of Pamelia. He had a BAC of 0.10 percent, deputies said. He also was cited with third-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana.
n Joshua D. Lasky, 23, Sandy Creek, was charged by state police Aug. 8 after he was involved in an accident on County Route 2 in the town of Orwell. He was taken to Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, for treatment of unspecified injuries, and a blood sample was taken at the hospital.
Charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs:
n Stacey L. Typhair, 36, of 32468 Caroline St., Depauville, also was charged Tuesday by Watertown police with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on North Massey Street. Police said they found about 60 loose pills, including acetaminophen, oxycodone and hydrocodene, in her purse.
