LYONS FALLS — Lewis County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Lyons Falls teen at 9:24 p.m. Thursday after an early morning break-in at a Route 12 home in the town of Leyden that same day.

Deputies allege Timothy R. Oster, 18, kicked the front door down and attempted to steal a safe from inside the residence at 2:46 a.m., causing damage to the locked door. He later was discovered to be in possession of two stolen license plates.

He was arraigned in Leyden Town Court and sent to Lewis County jail, Lowville, on $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond.
