City man pleads guilty to criminal contempt

An Ogdensburg man pleaded guilty Tuesday in Ogdensburg City Court to a charge of second-degree criminal contempt.

Michael Montalvo, 35, of 5601 Route 37, was accused in December 2011 of violating a court order of protection for Brandon M. Pierce, 29, of 131 Planty Road, Rensselaer Falls.

He was given a one-year conditional discharge, fined $250, ordered to pay $130.43 in restitution and $200 in surcharges. He was also told to abide by orders of protection for Mr. Pierce and Andrea Gonzales of St. Lawrence Avenue, Ogdensburg. He was represented by attorney Thomas C. Finnerty, Jr., Canton.

In other cases Tuesday before Judge William R. Small:

Jordan T. Remi, 21, of 316 Belmont Courts, Ogdensburg, pleaded guilty to a May 2012 charge of second-degree criminal contempt. He was accused of violating a court order of protection for Jenna-Marie Joanette, 19, of 724 Franklin St., Ogdensburg.

He was given a one-year conditional discharge, fined $100 and was ordered to pay $120 in surcharges. He was also told to abide by an orders of protection for Ms. Joanette.

He was represented by attorney Benjamin G. Johns.

Bridget A. Durham, 42, of 648 Old DeKalb Road, Canton, pleaded guilty to an October 2012 charge of trespass, violating a no trespass order with Price Chopper. She was fined $100 and was ordered to pay $120 in surcharges.

She had no attorney.
