Doris A. Green, No. Pearl Ave., wife of Paul Green, passed away at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
The funeral mass is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd 11am at Holy Family Church with Rev. Steven Murray officiating. Calling hours are Friday, August 2nd from 3 pm - 7 pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will be held for the convenience of the family in Glenwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601.
She was born in Louisville, NY, on February 4, 1941, a daughter of Fred and Mildred Scott Rupert. She was a graduate of Massena Central School in 1959 and a 1960 graduate of the Paul Deen Beauty School. Doris married Paul Green July 28, 1962 at Sacred Heart Church in Massena.
Doris was a hair dresser for over 46 years and later worked for 9 years at Enterprise Car Rental. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and was a member of the Watertown High School Booster Club. She worked Bingo at Holy Family and the May festival for over 25 years.
Doris enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and attending her grandchildrens sporting events and many family gatherings.
Doris is survived by her husband of 51 years Paul. Two daughters and a son-in-law, Paula and Rick Scee, Watertown; Peggy Green, Houston, TX. A daughter-in-law, Tracy Davis Green, Potsdam. Four grandchildren, Kelsey, Corson and Karley Green of Potsdam and Alli Green of Houston, TX. Three Step-grandchildren, Stacey, Shane and Steven Scee, all of Watertown. A brother and his wife, Douglas and Glendora Rupert, Bellview, FL; two sisters Rita Pachaud, The Villages, FL and Dorothy Ryan, Ocala, FL. A brother-in-law and his wife, Donnie and MaryBeth Green, Massena; a sister-in-law, Linda Guyette, Massena. Two god children, nephew Dale Raymo, Massena and a very special niece Debra (Raymo) Clifford, The Villages, FL. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Mark Rupert Green, her parents Fred and Mildred Rupert, and a god son, Kevin O Neill.
