The state Department of Environmental Conservation approved multiple changes in terms and fees for its falconry licenses.
The changes authorized license holders to conduct conservation-education programs and limited propagation, as well as assist wildlife rehabilitators with the assessment and conditioning of raptors prior to release.
The new rules change the price of the license from $20 for a two-year license to $40 for a five-year license.
The changes were in response to new rules made by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
