NEWARK — Watertown Rams center fielder Joe Moroney led off and finished 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored, but the Western Division suffered a 7-3 loss to the East in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game on Wednesday night at Colburn Park.

Watertown’s Collin Theroux struck out in his only plate appearance and Joe Adel was the losing pitcher.

Rams first baseman Tyler Decker, a Jefferson Community College player and 2011 South Jefferson graduate, placed second in the home run derby that preceded the game.

The East finished with 16 hits while the West could only muster three. Mike Fischer of Mohawk Valley hit a solo home run in the second inning and captured the Most Valuable Player award.

The Rams (24-17) will host Adirondack at 7 tonight at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds. They hold a three-game lead in the West over Elmira.
