BELFORT Repair work on the Route 812 bridge in the hamlet of Indian River is slated to begin next week.
The $500,000 project, including replacement of the bridge deck and guide rail, is to begin Monday and be completed by late fall, according to a state Department of Transportation news release.
The project will feature staged construction with one-way alternating traffic controlled by temporary signals, the release states.
The bridge work is part of a $31.3 million NY Works contract to repair 14 bridges in Lewis, Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Essex, Warren and Schenectady counties.
The construction contractor is Kubricky Construction Corp., Wilton, while the design consultant is VHB Engineering, Surveying and Landscaping Architecture, Albany.
