A recent law prohibits texting or emailing while driving.

Some time ago, there was a restriction against using handheld cellphones while driving. A few years back, I remember New York State passed a law that if your windshield wipers are needed then your headlights should be on; daytime running lights do not qualify as headlights in this situation. Back in the 1970s, you were allowed to turn right on red after a complete stop.

What enforcement do you see of these laws? Every time I am on the road, I see violations of these traffic laws.

Am I the only one? These laws are good and are made for our safety, but very few seem to be abiding by them. We hear that there is a shortage of law enforcement officers protecting us. My question is if these laws were enforced, would the revenue from the fines provide more police protection and save more lives?
