HEUVELTON - Three different players broke through for solo goals as Heuvelton outscored Canton 3-1 in North Country Women’s Summer Soccer action on Tuesday.

Katie Porter, Aliza Pierce and Heather Johnson connected for the Heuvelton goals while Sarah Baker countered with the lone Canton goal.

In other Tuesday evening matchups, Dow Electric downed Norwood-Norfolk 5-1, FC Freeze blanked Potsdam Two 2-0, North Country Collision dropped Parishville-Potsdam 5-0 and Akwesasne handled Brasher Falls 6-0.

Dow Electric 5, N-N 1: At the field behind Colton-Pierrepont High School, Niki Perkins anchored the winning offense with a pair of goals. Tara Hennessy, Cat Andrews and Shannon Harmon struck for the other goals while Steph Collins handled four shots backstopping the win.

Lexi Sweet tallied the lone goal for N-N.

Freeze 2, Potsdam Two 0: At SLU’s J Lot Field in Canton, Sara Elliott snapped a scoreless tie when she converted on a free kick early in the second half. Karoline Hallett sealed the win by finishing off a play set up by Brianna Hayes 13 minutes later.

Lindsay Dennis and Jackie Sovie each made one save sharing crease duties in the shutout.

NC Collision 5, Par-Pot 0: At SUNY Potsdam, Melody Mauer scored all five goals for North Country Collision in the first half and the game was then called due to the hot and humid conditions smothering the area. Liz Durfee backstopped the shutout.
