BOONVILLE — The Watertown Rams scored 11 unanswered runs — including seven in the eighth inning — to rally past the Adirondack Trail Blazers to post a 12-5 victory on Tuesday night in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game at the Robert Smith Sports Complex.

Peter Irvin pitched seven innings to earn the win for the West Division-leading Rams (15-13), who have won 10 of their past 13 games.

Trailing 5-1, Watertown began its comeback in the seventh inning as, after scoring two runs on an infield error, Trevor Marino hit a two-run single to tie the game at 5-5.

The Rams struck for seven runs in the eighth as Dominic Lopez put Watertown in front at 6-5 with his run-scoring single. Joe Moroney then scored on a successful double steal for a 7-5 edge. After Marino stroked an RBI single, Nik Alfonso followed with a three-run double, building the Rams’ lead to 12-5 against the Trail Blazers (10-17).

The Rams, now 6-10 on the road, will play at the Newark Pilots at 7:15 tonight.
