SEXUAL ABUSE - COLTON - St. Lawrence County Sheriffs deputies charged Jeremy P. Heath, 34, of 621 Gulf Road, Colton, with first-degree sexual abuse, a Class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor on Tuesday. He was arrested following allegations that he touched an 11-year-old female. Heath was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court and was ordered held on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
ASSAULT - MASSENA - Village police charged Heidi Elizabeth Bintz, 46, of 2 Monaca Court, Durham, N.C., with third-degree assault at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday after responding to a dispute call at Jackie Bintzs residence, 14 Danforth Place.
Jackie Bintz reportedly was left with marks and welts on her forehead, a laceration to her nose, a bloody nose and a black eye in the altercation. She was treated for her injuries at Massena Memorial Hospital and released.
She told police her sister walked into her bedroom, started verbally abusing her and encouraged her to hit her several times. When she didnt, she said her sister punched her in the face approximately four times.
Heidi Bintz was arraigned Tuesday morning by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson and released on her own recognizance pending an August court appearance in village court.

Dissottle, 42, of Massena with unlawful possession of marijuana, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a one-way violation on a designated road and reckless driving at 7:15 p.m. Monday on state Route 37, Massena. He was released on an appearance ticket.
CRIMINAL TAMPERING - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged a 14-year-old Hogansburg male with third-degree criminal tampering at 10:15 a.m. Monday in Fort Covington, stemming from an incident reported at 9:22 a.m. Monday. He was released on appearance ticket.
