Motorists charged with DWI

The following motorists were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Nicholas A. Burkhard, 33, of 117 California Ave., was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies with aggravated DWI and failure to keep right at 11:05 p.m. Friday on Route 12 in the town of Lowville.

Mr. Burkhard had a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent, the state threshold for aggravated DWI, deputies said. State law says a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes intoxication.

n Nanette R. Convertini, 41, of 241 N. Main St., Massena, was charged by Massena police early Saturday. Police said she was stopped after making an unsafe start on North Main Street. Her BAC was not available.

n Mark C. Martin, 46, of 250 Andrews St., Massena, was charged by Massena police with aggravated DWI early Saturday on Danforth Place. He had a BAC of 0.22 percent, police said.

n Krystal M. Sharte, 24, Potsdam, also was charged by Potsdam police early Saturday with making an illegal U-turn on Market Street.

Her BAC was 0.16 percent, police said.
