AGGRAVATED DWI - NORFOLK - Massena-based state police charged Christopher A. Richards, 34, of 5893 County Route 14, Chase Mills, with aggravated driving while intoxicated and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after responding to a suspicious person complaint at 8:59 p.m. Thursday at 608 Brouse Road in the town of Norfolk. Richards reportedly was standing next to the vehicle he had driven to the residence, and police located a Remington R25 .308 rifle inside his vehicle. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.19 percent. A driving while intoxicated charge is elevated to aggravated DWI when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - BRASHER IRON WORKS - Massena-based state police charged Janice R. Brothers, 20, of 18 Congress St., Brasher Falls, with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operation of vehicle with a revoked registration, second-degree unlawful dealing with fireworks and unlawful possession of a motor vehicle after checking on a vehicle that was stopped on the Shady City Road at County Route 55 in the town of Brasher at 3:35 a.m. Friday. Troopers said fireworks and a small quantity of marijuana were located inside her vehicle.

HARASSMENT - MALONE - Malone-based state police reported Friday they charged Lisa L. Oliveira, 43, of Brushton with second-degree harassment Wednesday following an investigation into a complaint lodged with troopers at 4 p.m. July 1 from the town of Malone.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - COLTON - Canton-based state investigated a one-vehicle property damage accident at 10:37 a.m. Thursday on state Route 56, near Hollywood Road, in the town of Colton. Troopers said the vehicle was operated by Thomas M. Helmar, 25, of Colton.
