PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Robert W. Northrup, 60, of 82 Cook St., Massena, and Serena H. McLaughlin, 41, of 100 Woodlawn Ave., Massena, with petit larceny at 3:57 p.m. Thursday following an alleged shoplifting incident at Walmart. The couple reportedly paid for a Monster drink and a birthday cake but failed to pay for $257.13 worth merchandise, including birthday party supplies. Police said the couple walked past the last point of sale without paying for items in their cart as well as merchandise placed in an empty purse McLaughlin reportedly brought into the store and Northrups pockets.
DANGEROUS DOGS - MASSENA - Village police charged Melanie A. McDonald, 55, of 107 Stoughton Ave., Massena, with having a nuisance dog and having a dog running at large Thursday afternoon. Police said the charges stemmed from an investigation into an incident on June 19 when McDonalds pit bull went into a neighbors yard and acted in an aggessive manner toward a neighbor, her son and a guest.
BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Christopher L. Jandreau, 22, of 66 Ames St., Massena, on a bench warrant held by New York State Police at 2 p.m. Thursday. He was turned over to state troopers.
AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Sabrina R. Foote, 30, of 244 Belmont Courts, Ogdensburg, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed her for failure to wear her seatbelt and for having an underage passenger not wearing a seatbelt.
