MASSSENA - Ogdensburg Pepsi-The Place surged its way to a 7-3 win over SeaComm in North Country Men’s Summer Soccer action from Mike Nicholas Field on Sunday.

SeaComm played down two men the entire game and was able to recover from a 6-0 halftime lead with three second half goals. Phil Mason netted the first two off assists from Zac Laramay and Justin Rushlow, who also helped set up the other SeaComm goal by Mike Murray.

Mason (6 saves), also combined with Jordan Kendall (10 saves) and Michael Morgan (10 saves) to work the crease in the losing cause.

In the other games played Sunday evening, Massena Savings and Loan battled Hoot Owl-North Country Savings to a 4-4 draw and St. Lawrence FCU play to a scoreless draw with Frary Funeral Home. S&L Electric at CH’s-Chip’s Place and CKON-Signs and Stitches at Ogdensburg AMP were both postponed.

Massena S&L 4, Hoot Owl-NCSB 4: On the former varsity field in Massena, Ryan Chauvin scored the first two goals for host team. Brandon Albert chipped in a goal and assist while Anthony Cortese connected for the tying goal late in regulation off an assist from Jamal Honore, who finished with three helpers. Alan Davis turned aside 14 shots handling crease duties.

Travis Jordan broke through for a pair of goals to anchor the Hoot Owl-NCSB effort. Tyler Gallagher tallied a goal and assist while Colby Young struck for the other goal and Jack Gardner fashioned a solo assist. Ryan Hayes made five saves.
