CANTON — The Social Action Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church will present the Rachel Somers Grant award Sunday to activists Chelle Lindahl and Melinda Ely, co-coordinators of the Local Living Festival.

The annual award honors those who work toward a humane and progressive community. The award is made in memory of Rachel Somers Grant, a church member, teacher and activist who died in 1990.

The award will be presented as part of the church’s regular 10:30 a.m. service. The church is located at 3 and one-half E. Main St.
