NEWARK Dominic Lopez stroked a two-run single as a part of a four-run 10th inning as the Watertown Rams beat the Newark Pilots, 7-3, in 10 innings in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game Tuesday night at Colburn Park.
Kyle Lombardo belted three hits and drove in a pair of runs for Watertown (3-5), which won its first game on the road this season. Logan Grant picked up his second win of the year by pitching three innings of scoreless relief and gave up only one hit.
Matt McKinnon clubbed a two-run home run in the second inning for Newark (2-5). Will Spitzfaden took the loss after giving up five runs in 9 1/3 innings of work.
The Rams face the Adirondack Trailblazers 7 p.m. today at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds.
