Hazel J. Schell, of Watertown, formerly of Binghamton, 86, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, DeWitt; brother, Daniel Gardner. She is survived by her loving family; son, Jeffrey and Julie Schell; daughter, Stephen & Julie Pierson; grandchildren, Danny & Gloria, David & Laura, Janice & Justin, Stephen & Denise, Sara & Jake, Matt; eight great- grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces; special friend Beverly. She graduated from Binghamton Central Class of 1946. She attended Ridley Lowell for Accounting. She retired from National Pipe after over 30 years of service. She loved Bingo, going to the casinos and enjoyed flowers. Hazel was a member of the Eastern Star. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY. Burial will follow in the Glen Castle Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the funeral home from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations is Hazel’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
