CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - GOUVERNEUR - Gouverneur-based state police charged David E. LaBarge, 30, of Massena with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell following a stop at 7:45 a.m. Monday on Route 11 in the town of Gouverneur. He was arraigned in local court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Brian L. Middlemiss, 28, of Ogdensburg with petit larceny following an investigation into a shoplifting incident reported at 2:20 p.m. June 7 from the town of Potsdam. The arrest was made Monday afternoon at 426 Clark St., Ogdensburg.
AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Russell J. Beauboin (aka Russell Benedict), 33, of 1179 Route 37, Hogansburg, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 3 a.m. Monday at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown. Troopers said U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents turned Beauboin over to troopers after they determined he was operating his vehicleon a suspended license during a secondary inspection at the port of entry. His operating privileges in New York state has been suspended Feb. 12, 2012 for failure to answer a summons in the town of Ellenburg, Clinton County. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice James M. Crandall and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
