A Clayton resident was charged by city police after allegedly entering the bus garage of Freeman Bus Corp. after hours and later breaking a man’s cellphone.

Police said Peter M. Strouse, 57, of 816 Rees St., entered the garage early Saturday, and later attacked Richard L. Drake, slapping him in the ribs and breaking his cellphone, valued at $100.

Arrested on the 1000 block of Marble Street at 1 p.m. Saturday, Mr. Strouse was charged with second-degree harassment, third-degree criminal trespassing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was released with an appearance ticket for City Court.
