Section 10 will have two representatives inducted into the NYSPHSAA Hall of Fame on July 31 at the Woodcliff Resort in Rochester.
Former Malone and Chateaugay administrator Paul Harrica, who was also Section 10s president, and referee Mel Tomalty are the two local honorees.
Harrica started his career at Section 7s Dannemora High School and moved to Malone in 1985, serving as the schools athletic director.
After eight years at Malone he took a job as principal and athletic director at Chateaugay and was later the schools superintendent.
Harrica helped form the merger between Section 7 and 10 in football.
Tomalty was a former mens hockey player at Clarkson University, scoring 57 goals with 58 assists in 59 games from 1957-60.
He later taught at Potsdam High School and briefly coached the Sandstoners hockey team before beginning an officiating career in 1966.
Tomalty has worked as an official for boys and girls soccer, boys and girls hockey and boys lacrosse.
Tomalty was an Olympic hockey official in 1980 and worked at the 1984 mens Division I hockey final four.
Tomalty also coached SUNY Cantons hockey team in 1972.
