A truck bearing a Florida license plate drove into a garage at 16991 County Route 59 on Pillar Point about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, putting a hole in the structure and scratching a car inside.
The unidentified driver of the ‘Flack’s Painting’ box truck was sent to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown for treatment of back pain, but no one else was hurt.
Property owner Wendy S. Wells said she was watching television when she heard a noise just outside her house. Her neighbors had told her somebody was bound to drive into her residence because many tend to ignore the road’s speed limit of 45 mph and do not anticipate the sharp curve, she said.
State police were investigating the incident and no further information was available late Tuesday.
