CANTON — A hybrid online learning project St. Lawrence University participates in has been awarded $150,000.

The Teagle Foundation of New York awarded the grant to the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium, of which SLU is a member, for the New York Six Blended Learning Project.

The pilot project’s goal is to engage faculty from the six member campuses in the integration of blended or hybrid learning in new or existing courses in which face-to-face engagement will be combined with technology-based elements such as online journals, blogs, webinars, videos and group chats.

SLU will offer the blended learning courses to students during the 2014-15 academic year to enhance and improve learning outcomes while examining the impact of blended learning on the experience of students and faculty.
