ADAMS — Despite reaching the end of a monthlong eviction period, the owners of the Hearthstone Ministries Thrift Store, 11 Church St., said Tuesday that they are still operating out of the space.

“We haven’t went anywhere,” said William A. Sampson, who runs the store with his wife, the Rev. Susan M. Sampson. Mr. Sampson said that he planned to challenge the eviction in court, and that he had not received any further communication about the eviction.

Mr. Sampson said his lawyer told him the store building had not been sold, and that he and his wife were still looking for financial support to make an offer to buy the space. They will accept donations at their store and an account at Northern Federal Credit Union.

The Sampsons were notified about the eviction in late April. The building is owned by Peggy A. Brouty and her P.A.B. Enterprises.
