PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Christopher J. Hughes, 32, of 236 Marsh Road, Norfolk, with petit larceny Friday following an investigation into a complaint filed with troopers April 8 from the town of Potsdam. Hughes allegedly stole a television wall bracket and a coffee maker from the Potsdam WalMart in Potsdam on April 8. He was arraigned in local court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 bail.
MARIJUANA POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Andrew D. Wood, 46, of Markham, Ont., with unlawful possession of marijuana at 8:22 a.m. Friday at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown.
DWI - POTSDAM - Norfolk-based state police charged Michael P. Dufour, 45, of 116 Leroy St., Potsdam, with driving while intoxicated following a stop at 1:01 p.m. Friday in the town of Potsdam. Troopers responded to an anonymous call that Dufour may be driving while intoxicated and stopped him on Route 56. His blood alcohol content was measured at .08 percent.
DWI - NORFOLK - Massena-based state police charged Preston S. Premo, 23, of 104 Center St., Massena, with driving while intoxicated and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 8:28 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on West Main Street after troopers responded to reports that he was arguing with another driver.His blood alcohol content was measured at 0.08 percent.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Laurent Trepanier, 18, of St. Anicet, Que., with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 11:23 a.m. Friday following a stop on Dundee Road in the town of Fort Covington.
PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT - DICKINSON - Malone-based state police said one person was injured in an accident at 2:27 p.m. Friday on Church Street, near Niles Road, in the town of Dickinson. Troopers said the vehicle was operated by Adam F. Goring, 36, of Dickinson.
MARIJUANA POSSESSION - BANGOR - Malone-based state police charged Felicia M. Lafluer, 24, of Brushton with unlawful possession of marijuana and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 11:06 p.m. following a traffic stop on Route 11 in the town of Bangor.
THEFT OF SERVICES - BRUSHTON - Malone-based state police charged Rhonda K. Anderson, 38, and Katie S. Cymbrak, 31, both of Malone, with intent to obtain transportation without paying. The two women were arrested at the Buckwheat Trailer Park in the town of Brushton.
