LOWVILLE A Turin man admitted Friday in Lewis County Court that he drove drunk and recklessly last summer in Lyons Falls.
Cody J. Amidon, 21, of 6334 E. Main St., pleaded guilty to first-degree reckless endangerment and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, also satisfying charges of aggravated DWI, reckless driving and unlawful possession of marijuana. Sentencing was set for July 12.
Mr. Amidon was accused of driving a van over the speed limit July 12 in the town of Lyonsdale while a passenger was hanging out the side door skateboarding, going on the wrong side of the road while on two wheels and going off the road and nearly hitting a building in Lyons Falls.
Also in Lewis County Court on Friday:
Lee R. Souva, 21, Copenhagen, pleaded guilty to two counts of fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, also satisfying a third count of that charge and two counts apiece of third-degree criminal sale and possession of marijuana. Sentencing was set for July 12. Mr. Souva was accused of selling the drug on multiple occasions in both November and January.
Josh A. Janczewski, 27, Lee Center, was arraigned on charges of fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment and pleaded guilty to those charges. Sentencing was set for July 12. Mr. Janczewski was accused of, on Jan. 16 in the town of Leyden, damaging a 2000 Chevrolet Lumina owned by Amy Marolf and grabbing her finger.
Jeffrey A. Ward, 41, of 7584 S. State St., Lowville, was arraigned on a charge of second-degree criminal contempt and pleaded innocent. His case was adjourned to June 14. Mr. Ward was accused of violating an order of protection April 11 in the village of Lowville by pushing Ashley Ward to the floor.
Luis J. Pabon Jr., 39, formerly of Lowville, had his case of three counts of third-degree criminal sale of marijuana, two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana adjourned to June 7. He is accused of selling marijuana on several occasions in Lowville.
Patrick J. Elliott, 37, of 518 W. Main St., Apt. A, Watertown, had his case of first- and second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child adjourned to June 7, with a possible trial date set for Sept. 9. He was accused of having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 15 on Dec. 9 in the town of West Turin.
Daniel S. Rounds, 29, of 7178 Murphy Road, Port Leyden, had his case of two counts apiece of first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child and single counts of first-degree criminal sexual act and forcible touching adjourned to June 14. He was accused of having oral sex with a child under the age of 11 between June and September 2008 in Port Leyden and inappropriately touching the child in November in the town of Lyonsdale.
Thomas C. Hanno Jr., 38, Lowville, had his case of fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance adjourned to June 7. He was accused of selling hydrocodone in October in Lowville.
Jody L. Wetmore, 38, Glenfield, had his case of two counts apiece of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance adjourned to June 7. She was accused of selling morphine in October and November in Lowville.
