THERESA — Virginia “June” Brown, 80, of LaFargeville Road died peacefully, early Friday morning, May 17, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse.

Born October 25.1932 in Delhi, NY, she was the daughter of the late George Seymour and the late Jean Parker Seymour. Her parents later moved to Theresa, residing on Pine Street. June attended Theresa High School.

She married Kenneth A. Brown on June 25, 1949 at the Theresa Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Flikkema officiating. Mr. Brown died March 13, 2007, and the family is comforted that they are reunited.

June was a champion of her husband, Ken and devoted her time to him and his business in the early years of Ken Brown & Sons.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Theresa Presbyterian Church, participating in the church choir and often sang during weddings of friends and family.

Mrs. Brown enjoyed playing golf, vacationing, gardening, crocheting, cooking and was an avid New York Yankees Fan. She and her husband, Ken bowled in the co-ed bowling league.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Edward and Pamela, Russell, Scott and Lynn, all of Theresa; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. June enjoyed family and the company of her beloved Maltese.

The funeral will be 11 am Wednesday at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa with Pastor Robert Vrooman of the Theresa Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Theresa.

Calling hours are 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
