LISBON - The second annual Lisbon Central School Preseason Soccer Camp has been scheduled for Aug. 12-16 at three soccer fields on the Lisbon Central complex. The camp is open to both boys and girls and will hold a morning session from 8-11 a.m. for students in grades seven through 12 and an afternoon session from Noon to 1:30 p.m. for students in grades three through six.

The session for students in grades 7-12 is a high school preseason skills and conditioning camp and will include goaltenders camp. The fee is $100 per camper.

The session for students in grades 3-6 will concentrate on basic skills and fundaments and the fee is $50.

Both camps are sponsored by Howland Pump and will be limited to first 120 paid registrants and the deadline for registration is Aug. 5. Last year’s camps were both very successful and based on the number inquires received already this year’s camps are expected to reach capacity.

Lisbon Central Boys Soccer Coach Bill Reed will direct the camp and instruction for the Grades 7-12 will be provided by Kelley Geary and Dickie Marcellus of the Lisbon Central Boys Soccer staff, Lisbon Girls Soccer Coach Scott Richardson, OFA Boys Soccer Coach Matt Morley, Colton-Pierrepont Boys Soccer Coach Jim Nee, Potsdam Coach Al Benda, Canton Boys Soccer Coach Matt Caufield, Canton Girls Soccer Coach Greg Kiah, Edwards-Knox Boys Soccer Coach Joe Knox and former Canton Boys Soccer Coach Roger Dusharm who is a member of the New York State Soccer Hall of Fame.

Instruction for the evening session for third through sixth graders will be provided by members of the Lisbon Central Boys and Girls Soccer coaching staffs.

This is to certify that my son/daughter has permission to participate in any and all camp activities. I assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation and I do hereby agree to hold harmless the staff of the Lisbon Central Soccer Camp from any and all claims arising out of any injury to my child. Furthermore, this verifies that the camper is up to date with his/her immunizations and is able to participate in all camp activities. In the event of an injury my permission is granted for treatment as required at the nearest medical treatment facility.

Note: All registration forms and checks payable to Lisbon Soccer should be mailed to P.O. Box 262, Ogdensburg, N.Y 13669. Both the Grade 7-12 ($100 fee) and Grades 3-6 ($50 fee) camps are limited to the first 100 paid entries and all forms and fees must be received by Aug. 5, 2013.
