Watertown teen injured when bike struck by vehicle

A 15-year-old girl was injured Friday evening when she rode her bicycle into a path of a vehicle exiting a Factory Street parking lot.

Police said Riah L. Stevenson, of 143 N. Hamilton St., was riding her bike on the sidewalk at about 6:30 p.m. while a vehicle operated by James D. Bergmeyer, 32, of 239 Ward St., was pulling into the street. Mr. Bergmeyer told police he did not the see the bicyclist and struck her. Miss Stevenson was taken to Samaritan Medical Center by private vehicle for treatment of bruises to her arm. No tickets were injured.
