A Black River woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon at Factory and Huntington streets.

City police said Amanda D. Symonds, 22, of 673 LeRay St., was traveling west on Pearl Street at about noon when she stopped to make a left turn onto Huntington Street. She told police she was at a complete stop, waiting to turn, when her vehicle was struck by one operated on Factory Street by Richard M. Jellie, who told police that Miss Symonds vehicle had pulled into his path. A witness confirmed Mr. Jellie’s version of the incident, police said.

A passenger in Mr. Jellie’s vehicle, Victoria A. Jellie, 66, was taken to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment of a cut to her arm. Neither Mr. Jellie nor Miss Symonds were injured. A passenger in the Symonds vehicle also was uninjured. Miss Symonds was charged with failing to yield the right of way while making a turn.
