OGDENSBURG Green is coming back this weekend.
The seventh annual Ogdensburg GreenMarket will return to Library Park for the summer and fall season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. The popular venue for locally grown produce and meats as well as crafts also will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursdays beginning May 16 outside Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center at King Street and Mansion Avenue.
Fifteen vendors are scheduled to show up today, many of them GreenMarket veterans.
We got some new ones, too, said Sandra M. Porter, market manager and executive director of the Greater Ogdensburg of Commerce.
Todays GreenMarket will include the Mothers Day market with gift suggestions hanging baskets, bedding plants, perennials, jewelry and others for Sundays observance.
The markets vendors accept food stamps, WIC and senior coupons.
To join the GreenMarket, call the chamber at 393-3620.
