DISORDERLY CONDUCT - MASSENA - Village police charged Billy Davis, 25, of 33 Douglas Road, Massena, with disorderly conduct following an incident at 7:26 p.m. Sunday at 5 1/2 Lincoln Place. Police said they responded to a complaint that Trista Davis wanted Davis removed from her residence. When they arrived, police said Davis started walking toward the officers in what they described as an “irritated” manner shouting at the police and flipping them off. He also refused to comply with several requests to case that behavior that took place in front of approximately 20 people, including children.



PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Carmen L. Tarbell, 48, of 268 Pitt St., Cornwall, Ont., with petit larceny at 11:07 a.m. Saturday following an alleged shoplifting incident at Walmart. She reportedly walked past the last point of sale without paying for $53.99 worth of merchandise, including sandals and hair dye.



CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MASSENA - Village police charged Julie A. Matthews, 26, of 6 Main St., Norfolk, with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop at 3:07 a.m. Saturday on West Hatfield Street. Police said Matthews was a back seat passenger in a vehicle operated by Jason J. Monroe, 26, of 222 Marsh Road, Norfolk. He was ticketed for having an obstructed driver’s view and reportedly gave police voluntary consent to search the vehicle. They said Matthews had an unlabeled pill bottle in her purse containing Clonazepam and was unable to produce a prescription for the medication. Clonazepam has muscle relaxant and hypnotic effects, according to the Coalition against Drug Abuse website. The medication is reportedly designed to treat anxiety, panic disorders and seizure disorders.



FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Leslie Moore, 27, of Haskell Street, Massena, for following too closely following a traffic stop at 6:45 p.m. Sunday on Sycamore Street.



PERMITTING UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Kali M. Sharlow, 18, of County Route 48, Norwood, with permitting unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 4:30 p.m. Friday on Liberty Avenue.



INADEQUATE STOP LAMP - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Crystal Lynn Votra, 33, of Quenelle Road, Massena, for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate stop lamp at 11:38 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on South Main Street.



UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Attila Bela Vida, 46, of Urban Drive, Massena, for operation of an unregistered motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 1:23 a.m. Sunday on Route 37. Police said the vehicle’s registration had expired.



STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Donie J. Taylor, 20, of Hidy Avenue, Massena, for a stop sign violation following a traffic stop at 3 p.m. Saturday on Martin Street.



AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Leah B. Musante, 19, of 14 Chase St., Massena, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed her for making an illegal signal and operation outside of her license restrictions following a traffic stop at 10:52 p.m. Saturday on Beach Street.



INADEQUATE STOP LAMP - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Joseph J. Burnett, 25, of state Route 11B, North Lawrence, for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate stop lamp following a traffic stop at 5:07 p.m. Saturday on South Main Street.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Joshua B. Soucia, 22, of East Road, Burke, for speed in zone (45/30) following a traffic stop at 3:52 p.m. Saturday on the South Raquette Road.



STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Joshua M. Grass, 25, of Third Street, Solvay, for a stop sign violation at 2:10 a.m. Saturday on Garvin Avenue at Winter Street.



NO STOP LAMPS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed 41, of Clarkson Avenue, Massena, for operation of a vehicle with no stop lamps following a traffic stop at 8:10 p.m. Friday on the Maple Street Extension.



UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Thomas M. Jodice, 23, of Niles Road, Dickinson Center, for operation of an unregistered and uninspected motor vehicle at 5:15 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Main Street.
