MASSENA – After a long and courageous battle with cancer and COPD, Mrs. Carole L. Queor, 61, of 22 Park Avenue, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 1, 2013 at Massena Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past week.

Carole was born October 11, 1951, the daughter of the late Barney Carl and June Eunice Dodds Queor. She attended schools in St. Regis Falls. Carole was a homemaker who worked at one time for OTB in Massena. She enjoyed bowling, camping, swimming, playing Yahtzee, and her annual family reunions. When she was younger, she enjoyed fishing.

She is survived by her loving companion of 23 years, John Sardegna; her two daughters, Nicole Lytle of Westville; and Bobbi Jo Lytle of Massena; her grandson and “little man”, Kohl Allen Shene; four sisters, Waneta Favreau and Phylinda “Lindy” Gonyou, both of Lyons, NY, Brenda Vasavada of Odgensburg, Darlene Keck of Shippensburg, PA, three brothers, Allen Queor of Edwards, Bernard Queor of Newark, NY, and Barney “Joe” Queor of Potsdam; and many nieces and nephews.

Carole was predeceased by her parents, a sister, June “Bunny” Queor, and a brother, Earl Queor.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, Friday (today) 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 PM at St. Lawrence Cemetery, North Lawrence with Rev. John Kashorek, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
