MASSENA – The Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 34th annual Heritage Festival on June 1.
This years theme is Festival of Family Fun,and they are hoping everyone will join them for what promises to be a day filled with family fun.
Our day starts with the Heritage Festival Parade at 9 a.m., which will proceed through downtown to the Massena Arena, chamber Executive DirectorMichael Gleason said.
We still have room for more entries in this years parade.Entry forms are available on the chamber website (www.massenachamber.com), stop by the office (16 Church St.) or call us at 769-3525,he added.
The Massena Chamber requests that parade entries be received no later than May 27.
At the Massena Arena, the doors will open at 9 a.m., and the festival will be in full swing until 4 p.m. There will be bounce houses for children under 12free of charge.
The Massena Nursery School will have kids games, the Massena Masons will be offering a Child Safety Id, Breezy Maple Farms will have their Petting Zoo and Pony Rides, there will be a variety of vendors, crafters and of course the Massena Chamber will have its food booth.
Also this year the Massena Chamber will be having a coloring contest. More information and how to enter will be forthcoming.
This years entertainment lineup includesTrinity Catholic Band; Massena All School Band; Massena School Drama Club with songs from their Back to the 80s show; Tap-to-Toe Studio of Dance; Zen-Do-Kai Karate School; a Magic Show by Cubby T Clown and kids crafts with the Robert Moses State Park Nature Center staff.
